Over in the next few months, he shows her his toys, like hammers and drills, and she shows him hers like paddels and floggers. And thier attraction is the tinder that could send Caroline's plan on an independent life up in flames...

Warning: In this book, there are sightings of glass dildos, leather belt bindings, nipple rings, wicked clamps, cherry cheesecake and hot, yummy handyman-type guy who's really good with his hands...

Okay I could not take my eyes from the screen once they started. I have never read anything BDSM before but I really liked it. And boy was it hot. Hell and the cover is enough to make any woman swoon. Wonder where I can post it in the house lol.

From the moment they see each other, she knows nothing's changed--the same old black magic is still between them, as irresistible and potnent as ever. But he's promised to another and Tish has been burned before. Will she always be...Once Smitten, Twice Shy

I recived this book for the great gals at Support Our Soliders (SOS) America Inc. blog. I got it yesturday and put it at the for front to read. I am glad I did because I absolutly adored it. COuldn't put it down even though I had about a million and one other things going on including preparing for RT.

I love how she made the heroin faulty. She can't get a job, she has no money, and is so far in debt that she gets her care repossesed but yet she is still humble. I feel sorry for the poor thing and her shopping habits down to her last dollar and she buys shoes. *Shakes head*

Shane (BTW I am married to a Shane) is very lovable and trustworthy. It was great to read the struggles he was having with the feelings he had for his ex-wife. And to see him and Tish end up together in the end like it was meant to be.

This is the first of Lori Wildes books I have read and I know there are more before in the series now I need to go hunt them down since I liked this one so much. I am taking it with me to RT to have it signed and then It is going onto a special place on the bookshelf.

I am so excided to be able to go this year! While I will only be able to go to the convention book signing I could not be more excided! I know that the whole convention would probably be way more fun but one does what one can!

I have wanted to go to this convention since I read about it in Lyndsay Sands Single White Vampire. She glorified the book around the entire conventions made the balls sound like so much fun!

~~~~~~~EXCERPT FROM BOOK~~~~~~~
"Romantic Times," corrected shortly. "And it isn't a bloody interview--that's what changed it. It's a damned confrence."
"A confrence?" Bastien glanced at his mother suspiciously. "Did you know this?"
Margurite Argeanu shrugged mildly, which was as close as she would come to a confession. "I don't see the problem. It's just a couple days in a hotel with some readers."
"Five days mother," Lucern snapped. "Five days in a hotel with some five thousand fans. and then there are balls, book-signing and--"
"One book-signing." his mother interupted. "One book-signing with a couple of hundred other writers there. You won't be the focus. You;ll be lucky to get any attention at all."
Lucern was not calmed. "And what about the balls and award dinners and-"
"All the functions are held in the hotel. You won't need to risk the sun."
Lyndsay Sands is one of my favorite authors and even though she won't be there other great others will be like!
  • Kerri Arthur
  • L.A. Banks
  • Shayla Black
  • Mari Carr
  • Lexxie Cooper
  • Suzan Donovan
  • Kate Douglas
  • Lori Foster
  • Jeaniene Frost
  • Heather Graham
  • Charline Harris
  • Kim Harrison
  • Hannah Howell
  • Larrisa Ione
  • Lisa Jackson
  • Angela Knight
  • Richelle Mead
  • Lucy Monroe
  • Pamela Palmer
  • Jayne Raylon
  • Michelle Rowan
  • Kerrelyn Sparks
  • Rachel Vincent
  • JR Ward
And many many more!
I plan on leaving my house really early, because I live 2 1/2 hours away, to get there earlier to have all my "keeper book" stamped and ready to go. I have them all nicely organized in alphabetical order so they are easy to find lol. I will try to get pictures with each author I can. My friend Kailah has volonterred to go with me which means she gets to hold the camera lol! I will blog and add photos when I get back and decompressed from the whole day!
Not only am I able to go to the convention I will be going to luch afterwards with Lucy Monroe and Lori Foster amongst other authors! Am a lucky gal or what! So I hope to have pictures of that too.
Until then I will be sitting here silently waiting reading and praying the time goes by really really fast lol! Heres to all fun I plan to have and all the fun I plan to share!
Rocky Mountain Haven by Vivian Arend
Welcome to the Six Pack Ranch, where learning to live again takes some sensual twists.
Beth Danube has escaped to a small Alberta town to make a new start for herself and her three little boys. Her emotionally abusive husband may be dead and buried, but so is her heart. What she doesn’t want is another man in her life—not now, maybe not ever. Yet when her libido reawakens after ten years of unsatisfactory sex in the missionary position is any woman strong enough to turn down sex-in-boots, Daniel Coleman?
The middle child of the rowdy Coleman boys, Daniel’s the quiet one who has always subdued his desires and acted as peacemaker. His powerful attraction to the young widow takes him by storm, and he’s willing to pursue her until they both find satisfaction—in and out of the bedroom.
Only Beth isn’t sure she’s ready to cross the line. Becoming friends with blazing hot benefits means she’s still the one in control. Letting her heart trust again? She isn’t that brave—or foolish. Daniel is going to have to be mighty convincing to help her overcome the past.
~~~~~~~~~~~~EXCERT~~~~~~~~~~~

The porch boards squeaked softly and he looked up from where he’d settled on the porch swing.

“You’ve got awesome kids. I’m sorry again about the swimming hole thing. It really never crossed my mind you didn’t know.”

She waved it away. “I’m embarrassed I didn’t figure out where they were disappearing to. I should have kept much better tabs on them. I’m so grateful you had an eye on them.”

He stood and peeked in the window. “Will you need to go and get them into bed?”

She nodded. “They’ll start on their own, but they’ll get distracted soon.”

Daniel smiled. “I think my Mama used to say it was like trying to herd cats to get us all in bed on time. I won’t keep you long, but…” He reached for her hand, linking his fingers in hers. She swallowed hard. Oh lord, it felt so good and scared her mindless. She stood, as still as a statue in spite of her pounding heart.

“I’d like to see you, Beth.”

She bit her lip. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

He turned over her fingers, his thumb brushing the groove on her ring finger that was slowly disappearing. After ten years of wearing her wedding band, the sign was still there, even though the ring was not. “You’re not married.”

She shook her head. “He’s gone.” He raised a brow and she had to say it, knowing the confusion not speaking plainly would cause. “He’s dead. He died in the accident that injured my leg.” Her throat went tight. Images flashed through her mind, the icy road, the glaring lights. The pain.

The guilt.

His fingers stilled. “I’m sorry.”

He pulled away, and she caught at his hand. Damn her indecision.

“It’s…okay. We were having troubles when he died, and I’m not grieving for him. Not really. I just don’t think it’s a good idea for you and me…” She couldn’t speak anymore. What she wanted and what she should do–why was it so damn hard to know which was which?

He squeezed her hand softly then let go and paced away. “There’s a whole lot I think you’re not saying right now. That’s fine. I’m still the man you met one night while you were in a drunken state and you don’t really know me.”

“I wasn’t drunk.”

He chuckled and she felt her face heat. “We call that liquid courage around here, darling, and you had some. I just want you to know I was serious back then when I said I was interested in you. I’m even more interested now, knowing you’re not a city girl living in some high-rise apartment hours away from me.”

“Maybe I’m not staying.”

“And maybe I’ll have time over the next months to convince you staying is what you need. I’m a good man, Beth. I’m not talking about taking over your life. I’m saying you intrigue me and you make my body ache. I think our attraction is something worthwhile exploring together.”

He moved closer. Her pulse pounded and she tilted her head up involuntarily to keep their eyes in contact.

Another step.
“I want to kiss you,” he growled. Their bodies were close enough their heat meshed and a little gasp of need escaped her throat. “Do you want to kiss me?”

Oh god. “I shouldn’t.”

“But do you want to?”

Desire and being responsible warred within her. Accepting his touch tonight would make it all that much harder to turn him down the next time.

He pressed still closer and their torsos connected, his erection rubbing her belly. Her back hit the wall as he caged her without using his hands. Their lips brushed together and she sucked in his air, the full body of his flavour rolling over her tongue like a fine wine. He kissed her tenderly, not the white-hot passion she’d replayed over and over in her mind from the bar scene, but a worshipful caress that started and finished with their lips.

he pulled away his pupils were huge, his smile even wider.

“Goodnight, Beth.”

And he walked away, down the path that led into the trees.

For Ella, marring Devin had seemed like a good idea at the time. Friends since childhood in love with him for as long as she could remember marriage had bee the next logical step. Then the real world called and Ella's feet had itched to get out of Backwards Gulch, Colorado.

Now, with a new opportunity on the East Coast beckoning, its time to put her past behind her once and for all. When she sees Devin standing on a charity auction block, she decides its the perfect opportunity to finally get his signature on the divorce papers he hasn't signed.

Devin's certain about one thing when he sees Ella for the first time in twelve years---she's not the girl he married. The way she left him still stings, and if she wants him to sign on the dotted line he's going to make her work for it...for the full forty-eight hours she paid for.

Back in Black by Lori Foster (SBC Book 5)

In a hookup this hot, someone's bound to get burned....

Drew Black, president of the SBC fighting organization, is a controversial as they come. But this hothead entrepreneur is a perfect match for his popular sports club venture: uncompromising and extreme. Maybe too extreme. with reputation for saying what he thinks Drew's been causing a lot of friction. That's why someone's been called to clean up his image--before he does any permanent damage.

The lucky lady is Gillian Noode, a PR expert who has smoothed out the rough edges on many a man. But Drew is rougher than anyone she's ever met, and he refuses to change for any woman, for any reason. To make matter more complicated, Gilliam's starting to like him raw. Now opposites aren't simply attracting--they're igniting. But in the rising heat, who will end up on top?

Lori Foster yet again delivers a great story in her latest SBC book. With a bonus story between Brett and Audrey its a total winner. I love Spice the cat and how much Brett loves her. Always a sucker for a man who loves animals.

Honestly I loved that Drew stayed true to his rough exterior I mean who doesn't love a manly man. I'm happy that she stayed true to him. Gillian is one of my favorite females. My fav being Jackie but Gillian comes in a close second.

I totally recommend this series. This is the second of her series I have read. The first being the Visitation series and I loved those too. For more information on this book and all of Loris books check out her website at http://www.lorifoster.com/

Amongst seeing her at RT I also signed up for her reader retreat and I am so looking forward to it! Who knows it might just have to turn into a yearly thing!!!!!

My Man Micheal By Lori Foster

A true fighter can never be knocked out...

Fighter Micheal "Mallet" Manchester is on the verge of being SBC fighting champion. But before he can step into the cage for a shot at the title, a car accident destroys his dream. His right leg is so severely damaged that the doctors tell him he'll need extensive physical therapy just to walk. Fighting is out of the question. His career has been his life, and now that life is over.

Then Kayli Raine appears. She's a tougher woman then Mallet is used to, but he's immediately captivated by her. What he doesn't expect is for her to offer him a second chance at becoming whole. And even though Mallet thinks it's the drugs talking, he accepts her challenge.

Mallet has helped many in the SBC and for that has gained many friends. But what good are friends when you feel sorry for yourself. With the outlook of his life looking pretty grim Mallet is wallowing in self pity. Until Kaylie shows up and transforms him not only in body but in mind.

Kaylie is a warrior! Her people are in need of help and she sees Mallet as her guardian angel. No matter how sexy he is she is a warrior, and therefore,Mallet is off limit. Can one man change her fate and the fate of her people?

I think this one is my favorite so far Lori added a element of surprise that I just loved. Anytime you put fighters and the supernatural its bound to be a winner.

Hard to Handle by Lori Foster (SBC Book 3)

Sometimes fate delivers a left hook...

Extreme fighter Harley Handleman had an outlook on life as hard as his muscular body. Fate has dealt him a sucker punch--and a low blow, at that. First, there were his failed attempts at the title belt. Then, Harley's mother lost her fight with breast cancer, leaving him with no family but his trainer Uncle Satch.

Taking a break in the mountains seemed like a good idea. But his vacation isn't nearly as restful as he expected--thanks to his landlady, Anastasia Bradley. Thier werbal sparring keeps him on his toes and the sensual sparks that fly between them would knock out a lesser man. The last thing Harley wants is more complications in his life, so he's determined to keep his distance from the alluring Stasia. But someone else has also noticed Stasis--someone who is putting her life in danger. To protect Stasia, Harley must stay close, but his growing feelings for her may be a bit hard to handle...

Harley Handleman only wanted one thing to win a title belt. But every time he was schedualed for a fight something would go wrong and he would never quite make it there. After the last one Harley vowed he will let no one and nothing stop him from this next fight. Until he notices the landlady that he should have noticed years ago.

Anastasia Bradley is one hell of a life coach. Do to unfortunate events her career has taken a sudden downfall. But Stasia is determined not to let her stop. Uncle Satch hires her to keep his nephew headed for the belt he so desires. What she desires is his heart.

There is a bonus added in here with barber and Jasmine story. I fell in love with Barber in book number 2 and I am happy he got his happy ending.

Love is worth fighting for....

Sexy, Sculpted extreme fighter Dean "Havoc" Conor has knee-melting good looks--and thick skin. But not from his brutal sport's enclosed rings. Orphaned and torn from his sisters as a boy, he has no family. That is, until he gets a letter revealing how much the once-little girls want him back in Harmony, Kentucky.

If you like to watch the UFC you will love this series. You can defiantly tell Lori is a fan! I love how she made her characters in this book both macho and caring all at the same time. Her family dynamics in this book are also great. Not only in Havoc's family but Eves as well.
