Rekindled by Mari Carr
It’s been a year since her husband’s passing, and running the ranch is taking its toll on Claire Hutchins. Independent as the day is long, she concedes the need for help. She wants a foreman, an employee to run the day-to-day who can handle a woman calling the shots. Someone who won’t give her any trouble…
Who shows up at her door, first in line for the job? Jeb Carter. Ex-high-school sweetheart. Longtime rodeo star. And the one man capable of making Claire’s lust burn out of control…of making her surrender completely.
Trouble has finally come calling…and he’s as irresistible as ever.
Review:
This story was an excellent addition to Spitfire! One of my favorite type of plot lines is love re-united. And with every one I read from Mari my love for it grows stronger.
This was a quick and easy read. That grabs your attention with every word. I love how she made her characters imperfect not only physically but emotionally.
And I love the happy ending. Oh and it is only kinky the first time. (I love when you read a book and get the inside joke) But then again when you meet a great author a good kink is never the same.

Okay Mari! Whats next?
Spitfire by Mari Carr
Rem Bradley has loved Liv Carter forever. After his father’s sudden death, Rem comes home for good—ready to reclaim his family’s ranch and his woman. Problem is, the spitfire he finds brawling in the roughest bar in town is not the girl he left behind.
Liv recognizes trouble when she sees it, but she’d be a fool to resist Rem’s seductive demands. Starting in the barn where they’d left off years ago, they use every available body part, plus a toy or two, to bring each other maximum pleasure. To make up for past mistakes, Rem will have to do a hell of a lot more than just satisfy her body—but that’s a damn good start.
Review:
Mari writes some of the best Alpha males I've read. In this quickie you can get into the characters quickly and very easily. I was up till the wee hours of the morning reading this book because I couldn't take my eyes from the screen.
With one Phrase:
“Olivia Carter is officially dead. Killed by a gang of ruthless orgasms. The vicious fuckers attacked her from behind.”
I laughed so hard my sides hurt.
I highly recommend this book. I absolutely loved it. And guess what the sequel just happened to come out. Guess what I am reading next ;-).

Carnal Ecstasy by Lissa Matthews
When good girls go bad, very, very bad…
The minute Carrie meets tattooed, bad-boy bartender Dallon, her decision is made. He’s the one, her ticket to freedom and a new, independent life. She’s tired of dictates and zero dates and following the path laid out before her by her well-meaning-but-completely-out-of touch-with-her-reality religious parents.
Dallon sees the buttoned-up, full-of-curves woman outside the grocery store and feels the flames of hell licking at his heels. When she asks him for directions to the large, nearby university where she’s starting work, his gut-twisting lust for her doesn’t diminish, but those flames start to singe his tough-as-nails hide.
With Dallon’s promise of not sleeping with anyone associated with the university his father is the dean of about to go up in smoke, Carrie takes the first exit off the Heavenly Highway straight onto Sin Street. She wants Dallon to teach her all the things a good girl should never know, and she won’t take Hell no for an answer.
Review:
Okay I gotta give Lissa props for excellent usage of a beer bottle. I don't think I will look at Corona the same again lol. That being said I liked the story. Loved the way she let the good girl be bad but not seem slutty at the same time. And Dallons tattoo on his back I would love to see it as an image. Its sounds really neat.
If your looking for a fast easy read this is the way to go. Not for the faint of heart though. And boy does the man know how to use everyday things to a very naught degree.
This is not my first read for Lissa and it defiantly won't be my last.

Never As It Seems by Shiloh Walker
Three years after he walked away and broke her heart, Leo is back in Chloe’s life and that’s the last place she wants him. Not that she has any choice in the matter. She’s in big trouble. She needs somebody to watch her back, and he’s the “somebody”.
Three years ago, Chloe dumped a bombshell in Leo’s lap. I’m psychic, she told him. As if he was supposed to believe that. His world is black and white, and he doesn’t buy into that mumbo-jumbo. Walking away from her damn near killed him, but he couldn’t be with somebody he couldn’t trust.
His new job? Keep Chloe safe. That’s it. He’s not supposed to touch her. He’s not supposed to make love to her. He’s not supposed to want her…need her…love her. But he can’t stop thinking about her, can’t stop dreaming about her. Now that she’s back in his life, he can’t keep his hands off her either.
Review:
I was pleasant pleased with this story. It flowed easy and was very intriguing. I loved the genre old loves coming together. The author has a way of putting a lot of depth to her characters.
I am loving the psychic angle. Shiloh showed that not everyone sees the world in gray. And just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean that its not true.
I recommend this book. I sure enjoyed it. If you would like more information on this book or any of Shiloh Walkers books visit her website http://www.shilohwalker.com/

Warrior Heart by Bianca D'arc
Gifts of the Ancients, Book 1
Hal’s best-friend status with Casey’s brother always meant that the one woman he wants is strictly off limits. But now that he’s back from a harrowing mission in the ancient Iraqi city of Babylon, all bets are off. The strangely mystical experience left him and his Special Forces team with a new appreciation for life—and strange new abilities they are only beginning to understand.
Casey never thought she’d have a shot with the strong, silent Green Beret. Something about him has changed, though, and old feelings have risen up, demanding an answer. And her answer is an unequivocal yes. Now, to break the news to her brother and hope it doesn’t come to blows.
Her brother’s reaction becomes the least of her worries when Hal singlehandedly stops a car from running her down, then falls into her arms, weak from some kind of strange reaction. Whatever went down in Iraq has changed Hal and made him a target of foreign agents who’ve found his one vulnerability…Casey.

Wild Irish Series by Mari Carr
Wild Irish, Book One
Monday’s child is fair of face…
After the death of her mother years prior, Keira Collins willingly put aside her dreams to become a surrogate parent to her six younger brothers and sisters. At twenty-seven, she’s finally pursuing a college degree. Between classes, working at the family pub and still tending to siblings, she’s no time for romance. So why is she spending all her rare free time fantasizing about hot Professor Wallace bending her over his desk?
Will Wallace recognizes Keira’s unfulfilled desires, her habit of hiding her beauty, her obsessive need for control in every aspect of her life. But Will has needs of his own—and they run far darker than Keira’s. As he initiates her into his lifestyle, offering sweet punishments and sweeter rewards, Will’s sexual authority slowly strips away some of her precious control. The one thing Keira’s not ready to relinquish…
Review:
Mari makes it easy for you to put yourself in her characters shoes. If you are into alpha males you will absolutly love Will Wallace. I haven't read alot of dom/sub books but this one was very easy to follow and easy to understand the lifestyle. I love the family dinamic of all the Collins children. I think she choose the right way to balance out Keiras life by making her loose control. It made for an excellent story!
Ruby Tuesday
Wild Irish, Book Two
Sky Mitchell is hiding out in Baltimore, seeking peace and solitude while he struggles with a career decision. Lead singer of popular rock group The Universe, he’s thinking of going it alone. Wandering into an Irish pub, he’s ecstatic to discover the breakout single for his solo album—but the songwriter doesn’t want to sell. He challenges the woman to a contest. Not only does he win the song, but also a songwriting partner to complete the rest of the album.
Teagan Collins is sure of her talent but she’s never aspired to fame and fortune. She’s content singing folk tunes in her family’s pub. Working on an album with Sky tests her patience…and her libido. The hot rocker plays her body like a fine instrument, their desire deepening with each song they write.
But someone doesn’t want Sky to go solo, and will stop at nothing to sabotage the couple’s efforts. Undaunted, Sky wants Teagan to join him onstage at his farewell concert to sing her original, “Maybe Tomorrow”…
If they make it through today.
Review:
I absolutly loved this book. Oh my god is there anything sexier then a rock star. And okay I have to love that she saved herself for the one she loved. Mari brought great humor in this book I could not quit laughing at the closet scene. With each book I am falling more and more in love with this family. Its again a great addition to the series.
Waiting for Wensday
Wild Irish, Book Three
Tristan Collins knows Lane Bryce is strictly hands off. She’s smart, funny, kind…and married. But he still looks forward to her once-a-week visits to the family pub where he tends bar. When she fails to arrive one Wednesday, Tris is concerned. When he learns she’s in the hospital, brutally beaten after attempting to leave her unhappy marriage, he’s enraged. Tris vows to protect her, but he doesn’t get the chance. Lane checks out of the hospital and disappears without a trace.
A year later, newly divorced Lane is back, and enjoying her independence too much to embark on a relationship. Tris intends to prove she can have freedom and love, and he’s not above using seduction to do it. The more she resists, the more he sets her body ablaze with pleasure the likes of which she’s never known.
After a lifetime of disappointment, trust doesn’t come easily for Lane. But when her ex-husband reenters her life, threatening her independence, her happiness, she could discover too late that Tristan is the one man worthy of not only her trust, but also her love.
Review:
I could not take my eyes from the screen in this book. Tris is my favorite so far. He has that lovable quality about him that is just to hard to resist. She addressed real time issues without making the book to hard to read. I am not a huge fan of violence in a book but she wrote it in a way to where its easy to handle, and a nessecary to the plot line.
Sweet Thursday
Wild Irish, Book Four
In high school, Lily was too shy to do anything about her feelings for her best friends, Justin and Killian. Now she’s ready to put to rest her regrets with a proposal that might shock even her oversexed friends—the three of them, together, one night, multiple positions.
K and J are more than a little surprised to see Lily at their ten-year reunion. The plain Jane they remember is now a stunning woman—who wants to have sex with both of them. Who are they to deny her? Even if Killian suspects they might be treading on dangerous emotional territory.
The night stretches into the weekend and, as K suspected, none of them want it to end. But he and Lily know people live in pairs, not trios, and they call a halt now, before it’s too late.
Justin, however, knows a good thing when he sees it. He’s ready to fight for what he wants…what they all need. He just has to convince Lily and Killian that unconventional can also be extraordinary.
Review:
Only The Mari Carr could pull off a book where the family is so cool with a menage. That being said I absolutly loved this book. One of my favorite story plots are those of love between long time friends. Even more so when you add sexy steamy sex scenes between two hot men into the mix.
Over all:
I devored this series in two days. I could not take my eyes from the screen. This family has a way of pulling at you heart strings. You can't help but fall in love with each member. Weither it be a sybling or the wonderful Pat. I think this has become one my favorite series. I can't wait for the last three to come out.
Friday I’m in Love (book five) – Status – ACCEPTED and EDITED. Tentative release in August.
Ewan Collins fell in love with Sky’s best friend, Natalie years ago, but she rebuffed him because of their age difference. She was far too old (and nervous) about going out with some hot, young stud at the time. Now Ewan’s had years to figure out his game plan and he puts it into action at his sister, Teagan’s wedding. It’s Operation Cougar Capture and Ewan won’t give up until he’s convinced Natalie that age is just a number and she belongs with him.
Saturday Night Special (book six) – Status - Submitted and waiting for editor’s decision.
Riley Collins is a handful on a good day. On bad days—look out! Officer Aaron Young has been her best friend since they were three. He’s the guy who’s always there to bail her out when she goes too far. When Aaron realizes Riley’s gone too far with an impromptu drunken trip to Vegas, he decides it’s time to bring her in—cuffs and all. Maybe a little trip to the Elvis Chapel wouldn’t hurt either!
Any Given Sunday (book seven) – I have the basic plot in my head–LOL!
Sean Collins is the youngest son in a family of alpha males. He tries hard to follow that tradition and even falls in love with a young psychology student, Lauren. Problem is he’s fighting some serious attraction issues in regards his best friend, Chad. When Lauren offers a solution to his problem, will Sean be brave enough to take it?
You Defently need to go out and get these ebooks you will not be dissipointed. For more information on this book and others by Mari Carr check out her website.
Okay now Mari stop biting your nails and have a glass of wine. Like you could worry about me not loving them. Hello they are from THE MARI CARR
Coyote Wild by Rhian Cahill
Book two in the Coyote Hunger series.
Brogan Wilder knows all about animal urges. As a coyote shifter, he’s lived with them all his life but he’s never experienced the bone-deep hunger Eloise Crawford elicits. Claiming a mate is one thing. Claiming one who’s human and has no idea shifters exist is another matter altogether. In El, he’s found his destiny. Now he just has to convince her they are meant to be together.
A visit to help her best friend with wedding plans seems like just the kind of relaxation El is after. But once she arrives, there’s nothing relaxing about the reaction she has to her friend’s brother. Suddenly her senses are on high alert and she’s drawn to him in a way she finds nothing short of terrifying. But there’s more to this man than his golden eyes and magical touch. There’s something else. Something not exactly human.
Accepting her fate should have been the difficult part, but when El finds herself the target of an outraged pack member, the true struggle begins.
Excerpt:-
El allowed Rowan’s plans to fill her mind. With images of tropical beaches dancing in her head she almost forgot the hormones doing a two-step through her body. She even fooled herself into thinking she imagined the level of arousal she’d been caught in.
They’d finished their first cup of coffee when her temperature suddenly spiked and the air around her crackled. Her skin pulled tight, her nipples drew up into rock-hard nubs and moisture filled her panties. The pounding of her heart echoed in her ears and she swayed on her stool, lightheaded with the rush of blood through her body.
Rowan grabbed her arm and stopped her from toppling to the floor. Gripping the counter edge, El tried to take deep breaths. Her head cleared but blood roared in her ears, making her dizzy all over again. She knew before the door opened that he was coming. The hunk of testosterone from the front room. She knew with every quiver of her flesh he was the reason she turned into a boiling pot of lust.
“Are you all right?” Rowan asked.
She concentrated on the mug in front of her, tried to block out everything else and focus on the cup. El felt him enter the room, felt him back off but not leave. What the hell was with that? Rowan still had her by the arm, talking to her but she couldn’t make out the words over the pounding in her ears.
With great effort El managed to speak. “I’ll be all right. Just give me a second. Jet lag, I think.”
“You need to go lie down, have a rest before lunch.” Rowan slipped from her stool, pulling El up with her.
“I think you’re right. A nap will do me good.” El didn’t think a nap would help anything but she needed out of the room and away from the man who crowded her without coming near.
She stood on wobbly legs, got her balance but wondered how the hell she was going to get upstairs without falling flat on her face. A cautious step had her knees shaking and her hand flying out to catch the edge of the counter again.
She caught something all right, something solid and warm but it wasn’t the counter.
Fire streaked up her arm from her hand. She’d connected with his hip. Her fingers curled into the denim and held on. If she thought he generated heat at a distance it was nothing compared to the furnace he was up close. Every muscle grew soft. The air in her lungs evaporated and her mind went blank seconds before the world went black.

Appealing Proposal by Jambrea Jo Jones
Attorney Becca Scott doesn't have time for a relationship. She's worked hard to prove herself to the old boys' club and now its her turn to shine. She certainly doesn't have time for the tempting Sampson Roust. He's totally lickable, but sex with the boss is never a good idea--unless you draw up a contract to protect yourself. At least, it seems like a great idea to Becca.

My Recent Excitments!
I am even toying with the idea of writing for myself. I am going to have to have someone fix all my errors because I am really really bad at it lol. But as long as I get the story out there right. If anything i'll get the out of being creative if only for myself.
I recently went to RT which was so much fun and I got to meet some really really great authors that I had already befriended but only needed to meet face to face. While I could only go the one day I did join in on some chats and won some pretty intreasting things.
Amonst them is this wonderful Moose named Moorey ( I won him from Vivian Arend for Chunku night) and the puppy is Bumper (from Kate Douglas for visiting her at RT)
They guard my book shelf with pride. I have won countless ebooks which I will review as soon as I get to read them. The reviews are coming slower and slower I know but with the nice weather comes the girls wanting to play more outside. I could take the books outside but its pointless.
I hope everyone is have a great Friday and you continue to have a great weekend!

My first RT experience 2010
I arrived early in the morning and managed to try to eat brakefast not only was the food gross it was borderline unedable. After breakfast I went to the main lobby. For those of you who have never been to a big hotel it looks like a damn airport lol
I had to wait in line to get all my books stickered to tell which ones I brought in and which ones I purchased which coming out of there they had to check again go figure lol.
Dana Marie Bell was the first author I met! She was in the lobby when I was waiting. Very nice lady we talked about our kids and dogs!
The line to get in was so long that they had to stop the escalators to line us up on them! It wrapped around and went well past the elevators down the floor below
I finally make it in and am awww of the room it huge but so many people packed in that just min in the door I am red faced and shakeing. Here's a picture of the crowd in the ballroom
I ended up with 32 books signed! Which seeings how only 7 of the ones I brought were not is a good thing. Three being from JR Ward I love her work but I was not about to wait in that long line for only one book sorry. I also got tons of swag and tons of signatures for my t-shirt I plan on wearing to Lori Fosters Retreat
Now after all was said and done I went to a lunch for about 30 min with some great ladies. Thanks to Lucy Monroe and Lori Foster for having me
Now afterwards I went and hug out with the girls from International Heat! The best ladies in the world!
Now I was going to go and hang out and watch Mr. Romance but I kinda got to talking with Jambrea and Val and lost track of time! But I got to meet last years Mr. Romance Charles Paz
I had such a fun time! It was my first booksigning and bow being thrown in the ring with a room full I will never be nervious again lol.
I am looking forward to seeing Val and Jambrea and alot of the other authors again in a month at Lori Fosters retreat.
All in all the Romantic Times experience was great. I will defently go again if it ever comes close enough for me to!
